EICR

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is used to identify potential electrical hazards. It is a formal document that is produced following a comprehensive assessment of a property’s electrical system, including wiring, sockets, switches and other fixed electrical installations.

Only registered and qualified electricians can carry out this testing – the test involves checking for defects and deterioration to decide whether the installations meet the required standards.

An EICR will show potential issues across your site before they have the chance to develop into something more serious, helping you to avoid costly repair bills.

For landlords, EICR’s are a legal requirement, typically needing renewal every 5 years.
